January 25 - Attending my first roller derby bout and surprising a friend who was playing.
February 7 - Joe and JoAnn visit me in Seattle for the first time.
March 20 - Dafodil Day at Pike Place Market. Each year on the first day of Spring, everyone who visits the market gets three free dafodils!

March 28 - Seeing John Green discuss his new book, Everything is Tuberculosis.
April 4 - Opening Day at Wrigley Field! It’s about 41 outside and a man a few rows down spent the entire game shirtless. The Cubs beat the Padres 3-1 and remain undefeated in games I attend.
April 17 - The first day of Outdoor Cocktail Season!
April 25 - Buster climbs on my shoulders while I browse books at Twice Sold Tales.
May 29 - Aaron and Carl share a special moment at Chicago’s most romantic dive bar, Nisei Lounge.
May 30 - Aaron and I take a silly selfie to send to his wife.
May 30 - The Chicago skyline seen from drinks at The Up Room at the Robey Hotel.
May 30 - A bunch of folks who are up to no good crowd into an elevator.
May 31 - Cliff Stoll speaks at Thotcon 0xD.
June 20 - Mom and Dad visit Snoqualmie Falls.

July 10 - A bus driver stops to talk to demonstrators participating in Race the L8, during whice people walked, skipped, lunged, and unicycled to show how slowly the 8 bus makes its way up Denny.
July 18 - Seattle at sunset seen from drinks at The Mountaineering Club.
July 19 - Kourtney, JoAnn, and Joe are all in Seattle at once. We go to see our hometown Astros take on the local Mariners. Mariners won this one 7-6 but lost the next we attended the following day in an 11-2 rout.
August 23 - Leading up to Labor Day, the Ballard Locks are busier than I’ve ever seen them. A worker tells me that come next weekend, it will be a multi-hour wait to get in and out of the lake.
September 5 - A band of miscreants gathers in the Rum Suite in the lead up to another security conference.
September 6 - I display my major award after defeating all comers in a game of Hacker Charlatan
November 27 - Our Thanksgiving feast.
November 30 - Brunch at The Lookout
December 19 - Hiking in Antelope Island State Park in The Great Salt Lake.
